The following operating systems are supported for this release. RenderMan may operate outside of this requirement, but it may be unstable and is not supported:

The flavor string includes the common distribution, e.g. Sierra, the gccthe clang/icc versions, and the microprocessor instruction set, e.g. i686. Putting them all together provides, for example, an OSX Yosemite package named RenderMan-Installer-23.0_1842953-osxYosemiteosxMojave_xcode6icc150clang10icc190.x86_64.dmg.

The following additional requirements must be met:

• All: CPU capable of running the full SSE4.2 instruction set.
• Maya: Compatible with 2019, 2018.3+
• KatanaHoudini: Compatible with 317.0, 3.1, & 3.2Houdini: Compatible with 17, 17.5, and 18.0 0 (beta) 

GUI-based Installation

To install the software, simply double-click on the appropriate DMG file that was downloaded.
