In Solaris, to create and use a Sample Filter, simply create a RenderMan LOP Node and then look under Image Output. Then you'll see Display Filters & Sample Filters. Only built-in options are available so there is a dropdown menu to select your options.
You can add additional filters by using the 1 - 5 tabs, which are executed in numerical order.
