In Solaris, to create and use a Sample Filter, simply create a RenderMan LOP Node and then look under Image Output and then you'll see Display Filters & Sample Filters. . Only built-in options are available so there is a dropdown menu to select your options.
You are able to add additional filters by using the 1 - 5 tabs and these are exectued in numerical order.
